"In 2014 our son Mason was born with a congenital heart defect. For the next 6 ½ years we spent countless days and nights traveling back and forth to Children’s Hospital, spending sleepless nights in a hospital room and trying to make the best life we could for our little boy. He just kept plugging along and amazing the Drs. and staff with his strength and resiliency. After many of scares over the last 6 years, Mason lost his battle against CHD. In September of 2020 Masons fight came to an end and our sorrow began.
About a month later we received an unexpected phone call from the Wallace family and Nevaeh’s Rae of Hope. They informed us that we had been chosen by them as a family they would like to send on a vacation. We were speechless. These wonderful people sent our family on a paid vacation to the beautiful Anna Marie Island. Being so soon after our son had passed away and right before the holidays, it was much appreciated. We were able to spend a week of family time together and help each other through the grieving with some distraction as we adjusted to life without Mason.
Nevaeh’s Rae of Hope was there for us during a great time of need and sorrow. Their planning and arrangements of the trip were fantastic. We were honored to have the whole family visit us before we departed and saw the love and care this family has in helping others in the memory of their own lost daughter/sister. Words can never express the sincere appreciation we have for all of them. Thank You!"
